Boulder, CO—InspiringApps, a digital product design and development firm, has been selected to develop Compact Connect, an open-source platform to streamline interstate licensing for healthcare professionals. The cloud-based solution will serve audiologists, occupational therapists, and counselors across approximately 30 states per compact.

Built on AWS GovCloud using an open-source approach, the platform prioritizes security, usability, and longevity while serving the needs of licensees, members of the public, and state licensing boards. This foundation will enable advanced planning for state implementations and support future interstate licensing innovations. Development is in progress, with go-live planned this year.

Compact Connect provides a streamlined and secure route for compact users, state licensing staff, and members of the public to access safe and competent care across state lines. The project is guided by The Council of State Governments’ National Center for Interstate Compacts (NCIC), working with three compact commissions: Audiology and Speech Language Pathology Interstate Compact Commission, Counseling Compact Commission, and Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact Commission.
